Pocket God Serves Up Final Update, Just in Time for Mayan Apocalypse

If the Mayans are to be believed, the end of the world is only two days away -- and Bolt Creative is celebrating by pushing out the final update to the popular Pocket God game with plenty of apocalypse themed content.

Bolt Creative has announced Pocket God Episode 47 is now available, which the game developer is touting as the final update for the popular title. Titled "Apocalypse, Ow!," the update promises to finally reveal the contents of the Apocalypse Temple's mysterious Closet Room.

But forget the Mayans -- it turns out that the Pocket God apocalypse is actually being ushered in by none other than Hollywood's notorious Scientologists, and the key to the end lies with a strange, couch-jumping, closet-hiding Pygmy named Tom.

So what happens to Pocket God now that Episode 47 is calling it a day? The developer says the future is "blindingly bright," with big plans for your favorite Pygmy friends in 2013, which includes the launch of Pocket God: The Runs, a follow-up to the original game.

Meanwhile, there's still Pocket God Comics as well as collectible Pygmy figures available from Barnes & Noble and other retailers to ease you into the apocalypse -- just be sure to plunk down your 99 cents in the App Store before Friday so you can enjoy Episode 47 as the end comes.
