ABC has one, and so does NBC⦠heck, even The CW has an iOS app for streaming full episodes of their TV shows! Now, CBS is crashing the party with an app of its own, but you'll have to wait as much as eight days to see some of your favorites. CBS Corporation announced the release of its universal CBS app on Thursday, which finally brings full-episode streaming of daytime, primetime and late night programming to the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Available free on the App Store, the CBS app offers both original and second-screen features for popular shows including NCIS, The Good Wife, CSI, How I Met Your Mother and more -- all exclusive to iOS, at least for the moment. Of course, what you really want to know is, "How soon can I stream yesterday's new episode?" If you're a daytime or late-night fan, the answer is the day after broadcast -- but primetime fans will have to wait eight days before they can stream the latest episode from the app, by which time the next one will have probably aired. Still, this is an encouraging sign from CBS, a network averse to sharing its goodies with Hulu Plus, instead saving them as web-only. The app also plans to integrate existing CBS Connect second-screen functionality in time for the new fall TV season. For Apple fans, the CBS app even offers some bragging rights, since the network won't be bringing a compatible app to Android, Windows 8 and other platforms until later this year.
