For all the startups all across the globe Dave McClure’s 500 Startups has invested in so far, the fund has never backed an Israeli company. Until now, that is, because app permission monitoring and privacy protection software developer MyPermissions has raised a $1 million seed round led by 500 Startups, lool Ventures and 2B Angels, with participation from Plus Ventures and angel investor Robby Hilkowitz. You may remember that we wrote a profile on MyPermissions after I visited their Tel Aviv offices last year. If you missed it: I basically said you should try out their service if you’re a Facebook user. Which, let’s face it, you probably all are. Basically, MyPermissions gives people more control over how applications for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and a slew of other social media services access their personal data on the Web and mobile platforms.
