Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced today that it will be creating a digital video game studio in San Francisco, CA. Called WB Games San Francisco, it will open this year and specialize in creating games that will work across multiple platforms — specifically publishing “high quality, free-to-play, mobile, social and browser-based games.” The new studio will be led by Greg Ballard, its Senior Vice President of Digital Games. He said in a statement that “The Bay Area is the home of social and mobile gaming and WB Games San Francisco is Warner Bros.
